- All filters replaced (air, cabin, fuel where applicable)
- Brake system inspection
- Suspension & steering check
- Battery & charging system test
- Lights, wipers, washers check

VW Diagnostic Services
We use genuine ODIS diagnostic equipment — the same system Volkswagen main dealers use. This isn’t a basic code reader; it’s the factory diagnostic platform that gives us:
- Full system access (engine, gearbox, ABS, airbags, comfort systems, infotainment)
- Live data monitoring for intermittent faults
- Component activation testing
- Software update capability
- Technical bulletins & repair procedures from VW
Common VW diagnostic work:
- EPC light (throttle body, turbo actuator, boost pressure issues)
- Engine management light (injectors, DPF, lambda sensors, MAF)
- Glow plug light (diesel pre-heat system, DPF regeneration)
- DSG gearbox faults (mechatronic issues, clutch wear, adaptation)
- Electronic parking brake errors
- AdBlue system faults (NOx sensor, AdBlue quality, heater issues)
- Air conditioning problems
- Comfort system issues (central locking, windows, mirrors)
DSG Gearbox Servicing
Volkswagen’s DSG (Direct Shift Gearbox) is fantastic when maintained properly. We see too many fail because owners don’t know they need servicing.
DSG service intervals:
- Every 40,000 miles regardless of DSG type
What we do:
- Drain old transmission fluid
- Remove and inspect mechatronic unit
- Clean magnetic sump plug
- Fit new filter and gasket
- Refill with correct VW-spec DSG fluid
- Reset service interval via ODIS
- Test drive with live data logging
DSG types we service:
- DQ200 (7-speed dry clutch — common in Golf, Polo)
- DQ250 (6-speed wet clutch — Mk5/Mk6 Golf, Passat)
- DQ381 (7-speed wet clutch — modern Golf, Tiguan)
- DQ500 (7-speed wet clutch — Golf R, Tiguan)
Timing Belt Replacement
VW timing belts are critical safety items. If they snap, your engine is destroyed.
Typical VW timing belt intervals:
- 1.2 TSI, 1.4 TSI, 1.8 TSI, 2.0 TSI (petrol): 80,000 miles or 4 years
- 1.6 TDI, 2.0 TDI (diesel): 120,000–130,000 miles or 4–5 years
- Always check your specific engine — some are shorter
What we replace:
- Timing belt (OE quality or genuine VW)
- Tensioner and idler pulleys
- Water pump (if belt-driven — prevents future failure)
- Auxiliary drive belt
- Engine oil & filter
We’ve done hundreds of VW timing belts. We know the procedures, the torque settings, the special locking tools required. This isn’t something you want a general garage “having a go” at.
DPF Services (Diesel Models)
Modern VW diesels have Diesel Particulate Filters that trap soot. When they get blocked, you’ll see warning lights and reduced power.
Our DPF services:
- Forced DPF regeneration (via ODIS diagnostic tool)
- DPF cleaning (off-car chemical cleaning for heavily blocked filters)
- DPF replacement (genuine or quality aftermarket when beyond repair)
- Root cause diagnosis (faulty sensors, EGR issues, injector problems)
We won’t just clear the light and send you away. We’ll find out WHY it’s blocking and fix the underlying problem.
Clutch Replacement
Clutches are consumable items. When yours starts slipping, juddering, or making noises, we can replace it.
What we fit:
- OE quality or genuine VW clutch kits
- Dual-mass flywheels (we’ll advise if yours needs replacing)
- Hydraulic components (master/slave cylinder) if required
Typical lifespan: 60,000–100,000 miles depending on driving style and usage.
VW Performance & Modifications
We’re not a remap shop, but we support performance VW owners properly:
- Post-remap servicing (upgraded plugs, oil changes, cooling system checks)
- Upgraded brake installations (bigger discs, performance pads for GTI/R models)
- Suspension upgrades (coilovers, lowering springs, anti-roll bars)
- Exhaust system fitting (cat-back, sports exhausts)
- Intake upgrades (cold air intakes, upgraded filters)
If you’ve got a modified Golf R or Scirocco R, we can service it properly.

- 40+ years combined dealership experience, including Volkswagen main dealers
- Master Technician qualified
- Level 3 diagnostic specialists
- EV & Hybrid specialist training (both technicians)
You’re getting the same technicians who worked at VW dealerships, just without the corporate overhead.
2. Genuine ODIS Diagnostic Equipment

This means:
- Proper fault diagnosis (not just reading codes)
- Software updates when required
- Component coding and adaptation
- Access to VW technical bulletins
- Digital service record updates
3. We Understand VW Engineering
We know why your 1.4 TSI has a timing chain AND a belt. We understand how the Haldex 4Motion system works. We’ve diagnosed hundreds of PD injector failures and EA189 DPF issues.
This is specialist knowledge built over decades of working exclusively on Volkswagen vehicles.
4. Digital Service Records Updated
All VW vehicles from ~2015 onwards have digital service records stored online (no paper service book).
We update your digital service record via ODIS after every service — exactly like a main dealer. This:
- Maintains your manufacturer warranty (if applicable)
- Preserves your service history
- Proves proper maintenance for resale value
5. We’re VW Enthusiasts Too
Ian owned his first VW T4 at 24 and has built three campervans for his family. John’s daily driver is a 2015 T5 camper. We’re not just working on VWs — we’re living them.
When you bring your Golf GTI or Transporter camper to us, you’re talking to people who genuinely care about these vehicles.
6. Transparent Pricing
We’ll give you an upfront quote before starting work. If we find additional issues, we’ll call and explain:
- What’s wrong
- Why it needs fixing (or doesn’t)

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

No. EU Block Exemption Regulation means you can service your VW at any qualified independent garage and your warranty remains intact — as long as:
- Correct specification parts and fluids are used ✓
- Manufacturer service schedules are followed ✓

We meet all these requirements. Your warranty is safe with us.
Do you use genuine VW parts?
We use genuine VW parts where it matters (critical components, warranty work) and OE quality alternatives where it makes sense (same spec, better value).
